The Shard in London is a skyscraper with 73 floors, and that makes it the tallest one in the European Union – for now. At the very top you’ll find a View Point which you will have to pay to get up to.
As we famously like our food and drinks we decided to go for the view from one of the restaurants, Hutong, and get our money’s worth in food and drinks, instead of paying entrance fee at the view point.
The cocktails were loooovely and we started off in the bar with a few before dinner to watch the sun go down over our city. After that we were moved into the restaurant area and got a window table, so we were happy and enjoyed the watching London go dark.
Below a few pictures to give you an idea of what to expect if you go. We should have taken pictures of the bathrooms to be honest, they were fabulous! And don’t lose courage over the ridiculously expensive winelist. They do have more humane prices as well so you don’t have to sell your grandmother to be able to afford a bottle.
